Wedding Party

Hryday
Hryday - Bridesman
As Himali’s younger brother — by a whole decade — he basically grew up with a second mom. But don’t let that fool you into thinking he’s high-maintenance... actually, wait, no — he absolutely is. He sleeps until 2 PM and is in the shower for 3 hours, and somehow, this routine works for him. His daily diet includes Maggi, pasta, ice cream, cookies, and Taco Bell, and despite the junk food pyramid, he remains skinnier than a stick of gum. He’s got a better skincare and hair routine than most influencers, and if you touch his hair, there will be consequences. Surprisingly, he’s also a national-level debate kid, which proves he occasionally uses his brain between naps and Netflix. Oh, and whenever Kunal and Himali take him anywhere, they’re almost always mistaken for his parents — honestly, it checks out.
Dhruv Patel
Dhruv Patel - Groomsman
Kunal's known Dhruv since the day he was born — which was exactly three years too late to be the eldest (and coolest) sibling. He's the family’s golden boy: top of his class in law school, working at the best law firm, and is the undisputed favorite of both mom and dad (not bitter, just stating facts). He may have the brains, but Kunal's got the biceps — Dhruv's built like a law textbook: all knowledge, no weight. When he’s not busy outshining the rest of us, you’ll find him belting out country music like he grew up in Nashville instead of Florida.
Nishi Patel
Nishi Patel - Bridesmaid
Nishi isn’t just Himali’s cousin — she’s basically her older sister. Their bond grew even stronger when Himali moved to NYC for her master’s at NYU — Nishi’s alma mater and home turf. From navigating subway transfers to finding the city’s best eats, Nishi took Himali under her wing and never let go. She’s a true foodie, and if you ever need a restaurant rec — from Manhattan to Mumbai — she’s your girl. She recently became a new mom to the sweetest baby girl, Samaira, and somehow her already sharp senses have leveled up: her nose can detect smells like a bloodhound, which is great… unless you’re wearing too much cologne. She once trusted Himali to watch her plants while she traveled the world — a decision that went down as floral manslaughter, according to Kunal. Still, she somehow always ends up siding with Kunal, which… says a lot. #FavoriteConfirmed
Rushi Patel
Rushi Patel - Groomsman
Rushi and Kunal have been friends since before they could walk — literally. Their dads were best friends, and their moms knew the minute they were put in the same room, trouble was coming (they were right then, and still right now). Fun fact: Kunal's mom was actually the first person to hold Rushi because his dad, Rajni Kaka, fainted in the delivery room. A dramatic entrance, which honestly set the tone for his entire life. These days, Rushi is a wannabe race car driver who used to build and drift cars and now lives and breathes Formula 1. If there's a loud engine, a tight turn, or a bad idea on wheels — he's in. He also played a key role in helping Kunal set up his proposal — and paid the price by getting absolutely torched in the Florida sun. (There’s love, and then there’s third-degree-burn-level love.) Once a high school track star, Rushi now has knees that belong in a retirement home. If he walks more than a mile, there’s a 50/50 chance he’s out of commission for the weekend. But even with busted joints and sunburn scars, he always shows up — especially when it matters most.
Keshvi Patel
Keshvi Patel - Bridesmaid
Keshvi is Himali’s younger cousin — but don’t let that fool you into thinking she’s easy to manage. She sleeps like a bear in hibernation, and we’re pretty sure a full-blown mariachi band could play in her room without waking her up. When she is awake, she’s either screaming like a horror movie extra or refusing to touch a dirty dish (both on-brand). Her diet consists almost entirely of olives and dhana dal, and she’s allergic to basically everything — so allergic, in fact, the family literally installed new flooring just for her. Keshvi’s about to start her freshman year at USF, which also happens to be Himali and Kunal’s alma mater. To all students and faculty: good luck — her default setting is a roast, and she’s already locked and loaded.
Dharti Patel
Dharti Patel - Groomswoman
Dharti is basically Kunal's little sister. Kunal's known her since the day she was born, and she’s been stuck dealing with the Kunal + Rushi madness ever since — and yes, it got even worse when Kunal lived with them. She somehow survived it all and made her one smart life decision: marrying Kirav, a gem of a human we all definitely like more than her (sorry, not sorry). She’s also a nurse, but don’t let the scrubs fool you — she’d still stab Kunal and Rushi if given the chance. Dharti and Himali share the same birthday, November 2nd, which means Kunal's life is blessed (or cursed) with two beautiful, brilliant, and absolutely unhinged Scorpio queens. Oh, and if she tries to tell you she practiced makeup on Kunal back in the day... she’s lying. There is no proof, she’s lying. If you see her, do us all a favor: convince her to move to Florida already. Stylish, smart, tall, beautiful — but enough about Kirav. This is Dharti’s moment.
Forum Patel
Forum Patel - Bridesmaid
Forum is the baby of the family, but don’t let her age fool you — she can talk your ear off before you even realize what’s happening. Don’t stress about responding though… she won’t hear you anyway. She’s Grandma’s obvious favorite, and honestly, it checks out. Unlike the rest of the cousins, she’s shockingly not picky about food or clothes — a rare gem in this family. Forum may act all tough and sarcastic, but deep down she’s a total softy — emotional, sensitive, and always there when it counts. With her ability to ramble straight through any conversation, she’s destined to become a lawyer — and probably win every case on pure word count alone.
Rafah Chaudry
Rafah Chaudry - Groomsman
Rafah and Kunal go way back to high school, and even though Kunal's from India and he’s from Pakistan, they’ve always said: “Our countries may be fighting, but we aren’t.” In fact, people mistake them for brothers all the time — which is ironic, because Kunal could never be related to someone who eats pizza with ketchup (yes, really). Rafah is the only brown man Kunal knows who sweats at the mention of spice — like, mild salsa is a near-death experience for him. He’s also got a not-so-secret obsession with guns and has casually built up a collection big enough to arm a small nation. These days, he’s deep in med school in the middle of nowhere, probably treating patients by day and polishing rifles by night.
Dimple Gajjar
Dimple Gajjar - Bridesmaid
Dimple has been one of Himali’s best friends for over 20 years — they’re not just close, they’re basically sisters. As the saying goes, some families aren’t made, they’re chosen. From being dressed in matching outfits by their moms to dancing in India Day Festivals, their friendship has survived everything from childhood chaos to med school stress and multiple time zones. Speaking of med school — Dimple’s currently in Chicago training to save lives... though we’d say your survival rate is a solid 50/50. When she and Himali get together, they’ll talk about literally anything — from dung beetles to Mars, makeup, ketchup, and of course, Theo James — just don’t try to join the convo. You’ll be confused. You’ll get a headache. And you’ll be ignored. If you’ve ever seen Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, she’s our Pu — dramatic, iconic, and forever fabulous.
Neil Patel
Neil Patel - Groomsman
Neil is hands down the funniest guy in the group — if something ridiculous was happening in college, chances are Neil was either behind it or narrating it like a stand-up special. Back then, he split his time between roasting us and climbing the ranks in League of Legends (respectfully, a top-tier gamer). He somehow picked up the nickname “Tiger” and has this bizarre habit of barking at random moments — no explanation, just vibes. These days, he's traded dorm food for gourmet dinners, whipping up Michelin-level meals from his kitchen like it’s nothing. He moved to NYC to be with his long-time girlfriend, now fiancée, Eman — who, by the way, has officially switched teams and now sides with Himali.
Katha Patel
Katha Patel - Bridesmaid
Katha has been in Himali’s life for over 20 years, which at this point makes her more than just a friend — she’s family. She's also a real-life unicorn: a woman thriving in engineering, doing incredible, high-level work that she literally can’t talk about (it’s classified — yes, really). She was also Himali’s college roommate, and a constant presence through the ups, downs, and all-nighters of growing up together. While she may be an only child, don’t you dare stereotype her — Katha is strong, independent, and beautiful, and she’s making major moves in Philly (unfortunately as an Eagles fan — go Giants). She’s the kind of woman who lets her actions speak louder than her words… and her words are still pretty powerful.
Shivam Patel (SK)
Shivam Patel (SK) - Groomsman
SK was one of Kunal's college roommates, and from day one, he became the designated punching bag of the apartment — mostly because he never said anything back. They roasted him for everything: his receding hairline (which has since officially retired), his “cooking” (he could burn toast in a microwave), and his uncanny ability to break everything in the apartment — the oven, the blinds, the TV, even the fridge didn’t survive. And yet, through all of it, SK never snapped… probably because he was saving his patience for dad life. He's now the proud father of the cutest girl ever, Reya, with baby #2 on the way — and despite the chaos he brought in college, he's somehow become the responsible one. Also, he's a nurse, so technically he can fix people (just not appliances).
Mansi Patel
Mansi Patel - Bridesmaid
Another day, another healthcare professional — Mansi recently graduated from nursing school and just got engaged, because apparently being productive and thriving is her brand. She and Himali grew up in the same hometown, and they’ve literally watched each other evolve from pimple-faced demons to the radiant queens they are today. They bonded the most through Mandir, where Himali was the unofficial grandma of the group (her words, not ours), telling questionably filtered college stories to the younger girls. But once Mansi went to college herself, it became a two-way street — and trust us, they've swapped some stories. Mansi is a proud UF Gator, former Gator Garba team dancer, and usually comes across as mature, responsible, and reserved… until you ask her fiancé Dhruval, who would laugh in your face at that description. And fun fact — before they became close, Mansi thought Himali was super cool. Then she actually got to know her and realized: “Oh… she's a full-blown crackhead.” Love works in mysterious ways.
Dipak Patel
Dipak Patel - Groomsman
Every friend group has that one guy who takes the lead, keeps everyone in line, and will absolutely throw hands (or bricks) if you mess with his people — that’s Dipak. He’s the protector of the squad and the kind of friend who would drop everything if you needed backup… or a bouncer. With triceps that deserve their own Instagram account, he’s also hands down the strongest guy in the group. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s our best basketball player too — led the Orlando team to more wins than we can count. Just don’t get on his bad side — he’s got a short fuse, a long memory, and an arm that’s proven to be brick-accurate.
Tara Longchamp
Tara Longchamp - Bridesmaid
Tara and Himali have been friends since high school — and like all great friendships, theirs evolved from sweet beginnings to constant, unrelenting roasts. These days, the roasting includes Kunal too (lucky him). Tara looks like she could kill you… and honestly, she might — but she’s also in med school, so she could technically bring you back. The woman’s a walking “How to Get Away with Murder” episode — not the show, the manual. She's obsessed with country music, horror films, and crime podcasts, and probably knows 12 ways to bury a body without leaving a trace. Himali keeps bail money on standby (Kunal's money, obviously) just in case. Ask her about Himali’s driving and she’ll back Kunal up 100%: a blindfolded goat could drive better. She’s survived several near-death rides to prove it. Oh — and if you want to see Himali’s ugliest selfies? Tara has a full gallery. Ready and waiting.
Akshar Patel
Akshar Patel - Groomsman
Akshar is the biggest guy in the group — but don’t let the size fool you. He’s a giant teddy bear who gives the warmest hugs, always brings good vibes, and somehow manages to carry the emotional weight of all our problems (along with a few iced lattes). He recently opened his own coffee shop and cocktail bar, which makes sense because he basically runs on espresso. Akshar can strike up a conversation with anyone — people, animals, brick walls — you name it. He’s everyone’s go-to shoulder to cry on, even if that shoulder comes with some of the worst knees in history (he once tore his ACL jumping off a three-foot stage). A big guy with an even bigger heart.
Riley Matuszewski
Riley Matuszewski - Bridesmaid
Riley claims to be an alpha female, and while she definitely gives off boss energy, those who know her well know she’s really just a protective softy with a heart of gold… and maybe a knife in her purse, just in case. She and Himali were college roommates, and Riley was the undisputed leader of their pack — and by “leader,” we mean Riley was the planner, the organizer, and the one who would roast you to your face (lovingly, of course) when you did something dumb. Himali may or may not still have some of Riley’s clothes (sorry, not sorry), but hey, that’s the price you pay when your closet is that good. Riley is strong, beautiful, independent, and a total realist — but even alphas need their girls sometimes. Just don’t cross her. Seriously. We warned you.
Neil Jani
Neil Jani - Groomsman
Neil is a podiatrist by profession — which means yes, he literally chose feet as his life’s work (we’re not saying he has a foot fetish... but we’re not not saying it either). He’s always down for the dumbest ideas, like the time he willingly played Russian Roulette with a BB gun. One of our core memories? Watching our bullock cart driver in India eat actual poop while Neil dry-heaved in spiritual trauma. During our championship basketball game, he cramped mid-play, so now we keep a strict banana inventory in his honor. He’s also the proud father of a doodle named Kora, whom he loves almost as much as his Acura, soccer, and the Ohio State Buckeyes — a school he didn’t even attend, but supports with cult-like loyalty. Pure chaos. Pure entertainment.
Millicent (Milli) Schlafly
Millicent (Milli) Schlafly - Bridesmaid
Milli was one of Himali’s college roommates, and she’s the type of person you think you can relate to—until you ask what she does and realize you need a PhD just to understand her PhD. She’s now doing super-smart, definitely-world-changing things in Switzerland, but if you ask what exactly… good luck keeping up. Back in college, Milli was the resident health freak — a committed vegan who meal-prepped everything and brought her Tupperware wherever she went. One time, Kunal brought donuts late at night and Milli took half a bite, then chugged apple cider vinegar immediately after. We love her, but we won’t pretend that wasn’t deeply weird. Despite her brilliance, Milli’s the most drama-free, grounded soul you’ll meet — the kind of friend you can vent to for hours, and she’ll just listen, then hit you with advice that actually makes sense.
Ana
Ana - Groomswoman
Ana and Kunal have been friends since freshman year of high school, thanks to a wild English project where Kunal wrote an essay about butterflies taking over the world... and they had to act it out in front of the whole class (yes, it was just as ridiculous as it sounds). They've been inseparable ever since — thank God she eventually upgraded her wardrobe beyond just jean shorts and a t-shirt. Ana may be small in size, but you'll hear her before you see her — she’s got a big voice, an even bigger heart, and the strongest leg day game of anyone in this wedding party. Seriously, she could out-lift most of the guys. My only complaint? She lives in Boston. And supports the Red Sox. Tragic.
Brooke Hall
Brooke Hall - Bridesmaid
Brooke was one of Himali’s randomly assigned college roommates, but what started as an apartment-room gamble turned into a lifelong friendship. She's now in med school (because apparently, most of the bridal party have decided to become a doctor), and she’s also recently engaged and planning a wedding of her own — so yeah, her calendar is chaos. Like the other apartment 202 girls, Brooke has plenty of stories that could expose Himali in a heartbeat — from tailgates and Gasparilla to “Studying” (if you know, you know). Through relationships, all-nighters, questionable decisions, and milestones like graduation, these girls have grown into the strong, brilliant women they are today… though if you ask Kunal or Jackson, they’d say they’re just better-dressed versions of their college selves — still crazy, just with degrees now.
Kush Jani
Kush Jani - Groomsman
Apparently foot obsession runs in the family, because Kush also is training to become a podiatrist — making Neil and Kush the most medically licensed foot enthusiasts we know. Kush was my first roommate at USF, and coming back from class was never boring — Kunal would walk in and he’d be in a different questionable outfit every time. Oh, and every morning like clockwork, he’d scratch his throat in this horrifying way that made it sound like there was a literal bullfrog living in our apartment. He’s spent a car’s worth of money on Kith gear, refuses to acknowledge the problem, and is a die-hard Ohio State fan… despite never attending the school. Also, he’s Kora’s second dad, and probably spoils that dog more than anyone else. A true one-of-a-kind.
Kiran Soni
Kiran Soni - Groomswoman
Kiran and Kunal were destined to be friends before they were even born. Her dad, Satish, was one-third of the legendary dad squad with Kunal's dad Trushar and Rushi’s dad Rajni — so their friendship was basically destined. Kunal and Kiran even went to the same college freshman year, where Kunal joined the swim team… and Kiran joined what can only be described as an emotional residency at the campus library. Now, somehow, they also work at the same company. She’s out here being a pharmacist saving lives, while Kunal is in FinTech doing… questionable math. They work in totally different departments but still Webex message each other constantly — usually about memes, rants, or gossip that has nothing to do with our jobs. Kiran also officially has the worst back in the entire friend group (and yes, they’ve compared). But don’t let the curve fool you — her wit is as sharp and straight as they come. She’s smart, reliable, and always just one ping away from a much-needed mental break.
Saarika Soni
Saarika Soni - Groomswoman
Saarika is the youngest of the core crew — the baby of the group that includes Kunal, Dhruv, Rushi, Dharti, and Kiran — which means, yes, they picked on her the most… and yes, she cried a lot (sorry, kind of). But don’t let those early years fool you — she’s grown into a badass nurse, working in a school and making a difference in the world while still being the same troublemaker who somehow always got away with it. Raised in the North, but somehow turned into a true Southern girl with big energy and an even bigger heart. She’s always down for a good time, always brings the vibes, and honestly, she might have the best glow-up story of all of us — from the youngest sibling who cried when they teased her… to the strong, sharp, take-no-nonsense woman who now roasts us right back. We’re proud. Terrified, but proud.
Jashal Patel
Jashal Patel - Groomsman/Bridesman
Jashal has been part of both our lives long before we were part of each other's. He grew up in the same hometown as Himali, with family ties and plenty of shared stories. At USF, he and Himali would often walk back from class together—until one day, he casually mentioned his new roommate had a new puppy. Naturally, Himali had to meet the dog. And that’s how she met Luna… and also Kunal. (Priorities.) Throughout our early days, Jashal was a key reason we “just happened” to hang out. He’s easygoing, kind-hearted, and has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. From wild college nights to the day he picked up his own pup, MJ, we’ve shared so many big and small moments with him. Now he’s living and thriving in Chicago—and we’re so lucky to have him standing by our side.
